I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, but became a Dallas transplant in 2008. I love life in Dallas; I am connected to a fantastic church where I have a wonderful community. I live where I can see the skyline, tucked away in the artistic and eclectic Deep Ellum neighborhood. This is home.

After receiving my B.A. in Print Journalism and M.A. in Communications from Wichita State University, I faced a crossroads in my life. The world of print journalism was being quickly replaced by the Internet and Social Media.

I moved to Dallas first as a rowing coach and journalism teacher at a local school. It was there I was introduced to the idea of a career in social media marketing.

Since that time, I have been able to put my love of writing to work in ways I never imagined. I have collaborated with clients on writing projects of all shapes and sizes–from press releases and blogs to website copy and books.

Short and sweet: I’m a freelance writer with a penchant for Pugs and a portfolio of articles from tech to health and beauty, and beyond. A communicator at heart, my true passion is covering issues promoting positive change in our world.

Writing and Marketing

I contract with several marketing agencies in Dallas to create blog, website, newsletter and press release content for their clients. I edit and ghostwrite books. I also manage social media accounts for some clients. One reason I love working with public relations firms is that content I write is published in really cool places, like the Huffington Post! (Due to the nature of my blog writing contracts with clients, I can’t say which articles specifically, but they are out there!) Projects I work on for clients have also been ranked in the top 10 Google searches.

I am an experienced blog writer and social media marketer offering consulting services to small businesses and non-profits.  I have expertise to help you with your communication needs. With agency experience, I have managed up to 9 clients at a time, developing blog, Facebook and Twitter content for each client. I am currently working on projects for clients of 7 different agencies, and multiple clients at most of the agencies.

If you are looking for someone to write your blog content, write and manage your social media content and interact with your followers, but don’t want to hire an agency, let me work with you to make your social media campaign a success. Even if you are working with a PR or social media agency, but believe you need stronger content on your blog and written pieces, let’s talk. I can work hand-in-hand with your agency to provide you the best online presence possible.

Are you a PR or online content marketing agency looking for a writer? Look no further! I’m your girl. I would be happy to lighten your load by writing content for your clients. Working together, we’ll keep your clients happy.

Side note: I write for one particular client that I have seen through 3 different agencies. The client has had to change agencies due to barriers caused by location, etc., but they have been so happy with my work, that though I began writing for them under one agency, the client has requested me as their blogger with each new agency — a humbling testimony to the satisfaction of the clients I write for.

Whether non-profit, B2B or B2C, social media is a form of marketing you can’t live without. People are already talking about your brand online. Are you listening?

If you are looking for training on how to use social media for your business, I can help you with that too!

I know that every business has different needs, and will tailor your campaign to suit those needs. Contact me by email and we can discuss your specific needs, and a campaign that is right for you. Let me work with you to provide the social media services you need in a price range you can afford.

I look forward to talking with you!
